We're looking for articles (particularly in the spirit of Gonzo journalism), poetry, short fiction, critiques (film, book, music, concert, etc…) and other literary, photographic and visual artwork that addresses, effects and/or appeals to LGBT communities of color, Specifically funny, edgy, intense, avante garde work about unconventional topics within our community.
Submissions should be no longer than 1,500 words and in English only. Multiple authorships are acceptable and all applicable copyrights remain with the respective author(s). Compensation is not available for submissions and will be published in the hardcopy and/or online versions of The Monthly Breeze under the sole discretion of the editor.
We are currently only accepting submissions electronically. All literary submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.doc) or Plain Text (.txt) formats with author and title clearly visible. Visual art submissions should be in .jpg or .jpeg formats and not larger than 5 MB per submission. Video submissions can be made by sending us the URL to where the video is currently being hosted (e.g., YouTube, MySpace, Facebook).
Also submissions should include a brief bio of the author (No more than five sentences.)
